This floorcloth measures 49.5" X 43.5"

Made of heavy cotton canvas which has been prepared with exterior latex paint on the backside, acrylic paints are applied to a gessoed ground on the top side, and edges are bound and secured with latex. The finished cloth is protected with multiple coats of polyurethane. For use in damp locations, addition anti-mildew paint may be applied to the back surface, as needed.

Dale Macurdy has been involved in abstract painting since the early 1960s. His paintings are in private collections in the US, Canada and Europe. He began creating art for the floor in 1995 while in residence at Brickbottom Artists Building in Somerville, MA. Inspired by Kandinsky's discovery of abstract art when seeing his paintings upside down, Macurdy realized his preference for working on horizontal surfaces rather than on easels, allowed him to show his work the way he saw it during the process of creation.

Care of your floorcloth:

To clean - wipe with damp cloth/sponge with detergent & rinse.

The addition of a non-skid rubber pad is recommended under your floorcloth, to add an extra layer of comfort in locations such as kitchens, where users will be standing.
