Handworks celebrates First Friday – Blue Hill

July 7th First Friday: NEW Work by Axel Stolhberg -BOATS
Window Installation by Basha Olson.
Reception 5-7 PM. All are welcome. Enjoy food, drink, and a fun evening with some of the most interesting artists and friends around (that’s you!) from 5-7 PM. Please join us!

We’re looking forward to Basha Olson’s window installation. She enjoys keeping me in suspense about the details. I enjoy the surprise of her creations.  Watch the gallery window as you drive down Main Street. Basha begins installing her piece on June 29th. She intends to add to it throughout the summer.

Axel Stolhberg: When people ask me, “What kind of art do you make?” I answer, “I do everything.” From painting, drawing, sculpture and assemblage using all kinds of mediums, I am able to move between the lines of recognizable and abstract images, and feel the freedom to go in all kinds of different directions.

Axel’s drawing/painting  is imaginative with spare lines that on the surface seem simple, yet create complex, and often dream like images. His work has attracted much interest in the gallery.

On Friday, June 2nd we started  the season with a showing of the work of Adijah Wolf. She’s a dynamic artist and we’ve selected an exciting collection of abstract and semi abstract works ranging in size from 36″ x 36″ to 6″ x 6″.

Randy Barker (Wicked Woodpile) also  joined us!. Randy’s turned wood work is  featured on the NEW WORKS page. Meet the artists, view their work and see what else is new in the gallery!
